MOSCOW, 7 July (BelTA) – Vitebsk will play host to a joint meeting of the commissions on budget, taxes and financial market, economic policy and industry and trade of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 10 July, BelTA learned from the PA press service.
"MPs will discuss the status of the action plans for the commercialization of the results of the science and technology programs of the Union State," the press service said.The MPs will focus on the results of seven Union State programs in the fields of agriculture, medicine, automotive and high technologies.
The MPs are also set to look into the status of the implementation of the decisions taken at the forum of special economic zones of the Union State, held within the framework of the International Economic Forum in Vitebsk in 2025 and to review the cross-border cooperation of Vitebsk Oblast with Pskov Oblast and Smolensk Oblast.
The event will be attended by representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, the Ministries of Health of Belarus and Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, the Industry Ministry of Belarus, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and also the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee and the Smolensk Oblast administration.
